Taylor made an extremely faithful recreation of the guitar from the show; the satin Sitka Spruce top has a gorgeous, dark finish, and the neck is matched with a richly finished Mahogany and a West African Crelicam Ebony fingerboard, inlaid with the signature butterfly inlay from the show. In fact, the only way the guitar isn't faithful is the excellent Taylor build quality which is impossible to replicate in post-apocalyptic conditions - the guitar has v-class bracing, a venetian cutaway, and a 2-piece no-block wedge back. The guitar sounds bright and resonant, projects that sound very well, it plays exceptionally easily. In no way is this special edition model a gimmick or cash grab: this guitar is an excellent, well crafted and well designed Taylor with all the bells and whistles.
