The Gibson SG Standard '61 reintroduces the iconic design of one of the most instantly recognizable guitar models in history. After being discontinued as the new Les Paul model and reintroduced as the SG (Solid Guitar), this model received a number of changes: a deeply scarfed body carve and the iconic double horn cutaways make this guitar light and comfortable, while the bound rosewood fretboard and medium jumbo neck ease playability and pair well with the high neck access. Compared to the original design, this reissue has a SlimTaper neck profile for maximum comfort, as well as a 12" fretboard radius that helps with lead lines. It's no wonder this guitar was originally marketed as the fastest playing guitar in the world!
