The Danelectro Pastrami is one of those budget drives that survives because it’s honest. It’s a two-knob overdrive — Level and Overdrive — with no tone control, which means it’s not trying to be a Swiss Army knife or a boutique philosophy seminar.

The Pastrami can do low-gain push, mild crunch, and a more saturated overdrive while keeping the setup fast and the sound straightforward. If you want a pedal that responds more like part of the amp than a separate personality, this is the kind of box that makes sense. It’s not fancy, but it’s not supposed to be. It’s there to sound good, stay out of the way, and not cost you a week of tweaking to figure out.
This one is in very good condition and has no velcro on the back. A scrappy little overdrive with enough character to earn its spot without acting like it’s better than the rest of the board.
