The Upper Bout

Used 1950 Gibson LG-1

It's always a treat to have old Gibson's in the shop and this LG-1 is no exception. Built in the 1950's, this smaller body all-solid guitar is not the best looking guitar in the shop, but it does have one of the best voices. It appears someone at one time tried to fill in the finish flaws on the top with permanent marker :( and it has had some cracks repaired and cleated. This guitar is structurally sound and a lot of fun to play. If you are looking for a show-piece, this is NOT the guitar for you. However, if you are looking for a great sounding and playing guitar to play or record with, then this IS the guitar for you.

This guitar is used and in Fair condition. Lots of pick marks, scratches, dents, and dings are present on the top, back, and sides of the instrument. As stated before, some of the pick marks have been covered by black permanent marker. Two cracks can be found on the top, one near the pickguard under the strings, and another near the bass side strings. Both cracks professional repaired. Minor headstock dings.
