USED Peavey Generation EXP

Peavey built the Generation EXP as its early-2000s workhorse: basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, rosewood board. This one has clearly been gigged, and it shows in the best way — a guitar that's earned its wear instead of collecting dust in a case.

The standout feature is the bridge pickup. Peavey shipped these with in-house ceramic pickups, not name-brand parts, so the genuine Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge position here is a player-installed upgrade, not a factory spec. It gives the bridge real bite and output while the two stock single coils in the neck and middle keep the clean and midrange tones intact. Running all three through a 5-way switch gives you a wider tonal range than this guitar's price point normally buys you.

Condition is honest and gig-appropriate. Fret wear is light and even, consistent with real playing time rather than abuse. The finish shows light handling scuffs throughout, plus two cosmetic dents — one on the lower back bout and one smaller on the lower front bout. Neither affects playability, and everything plays and switches cleanly.
