USED Guild SF-1 Bass

Pelham Blue has a way of stopping people at the wall. It's not a loud color; it's just the right amount of retro-cool that makes someone go "wait, what is that" from six feet away — and the Starfire body shape does the rest of the convincing once they get up close.

This one's a 2023 build out of Guild's Indonesia plant, and it's in excellent shape. Quick heads-up before someone asks: those two white covers up front are a single BC-1 BiCoil split-coil unit — that's how every Starfire I left the factory, so don't let it throw you cuz it sounds fantastic.

That said... Where it really earns its keep is in your fingers. The short 30.75" scale and slim 2.4" body make it disappear against you almost immediately — this is the bass you put on a smaller player, a guitarist dabbling in bass for the first time, or anyone who's tired of wrestling a full-scale. The semi-hollow construction gives it real air and a woody low-end growl that a solidbody can't replicate at this price, and the neck is fast enough that you forget you're on a short scale within a few bars.

Pull the volume knob up, and the push-pull switch trims the lows and pushes the mids forward, faking the sound of two pickups running in parallel. It's a legit tonal option, not a gimmick — flip it on for a pick-style line that needs to cut through a mix, then push it back down for the round, thumpy default tone.

Comes with a really nice Gator gig bag. This one's clean, it's charming, and it plays as good as it looks sitting on the wall.
