It must be said that this is without a doubt the best guitar that has graced this store. At its heart and soul are two Alinco 3 Custombuckers, two handwound humbucking pickups that somebody probably fell asleep while winding - these pickups are HOT and responsive, creating that deliciously warm and crunchy tone effortlessly whenever you dig into the strings. To tame these mighty pickups, no expense was spared: CTS 500K Audio Taper Potentiometers, oil-in-paper capacitors and a Switchcraft pickup selector and input jack all preserve and control the signal perfectly. You can roll the tone all the way back for a warm yet fantastically clear tone, or jack them up with the volume to get a biting, soaring crunch. All of this is seamlessly connected to the playing experience by the 50s rounded "C" neck, a thick yet surprisingly deft and comfortable neck, an absolute dream compared to some of the usual 'baseball bat' vintage profiles. Finally, the appearance: this guitar is aged to perfection, with tasteful and subtle lacquer cracks all over the rich gold top. The hardware looks like it comes from another generation, but play like they're fresh out of the workshop. Responsive, beautiful, sexy, loud, rich, golden, vintage, iconic, comfortable, top-of-the-line, awesome.
