Since its humble beginnings building pedal steels in 1946, Fender Musical Instruments has been one of the defining forces of the guitar industry. To commemorate its 60th Anniversary as a company, Fender created a limited run of both an American Stratocaster (Sunburst finish only) and a made-in-Mexico Standard Stratocaster (Blizzard Pearl finish only). The 60th Anniversary American Stratocaster had three New American Vintage single coil pickups with Schaller tuners. Each instrument had a 60th Anniversary logo stamped on the neck plate, with a headstock logo that was inlaid with cubic zirconium. It was only available in a sunburst finish.
