The Upper Bout
USED Fender 1983 Stratocaster Elite
Straight out of 1983! This Elite Stratocaster from Fender features the first generation N1 Noiseless Pickups complete with the rare button switching system. The push-button switching system not only allowed for quick changing of the pickups but actually allowed for all three pickups to be engaged at the same time! This guitar also features the Freeflyte Tremolo Bridge, a made in Germany Schaller bridge that was only made for this model. As is the case, the Elite Stratocaster was introduced in 1983 and discontinued in 1984, so this is definitely one rare bird. It also served as a template for the Eric Clapton signature model of 1988.
Unfortunately upon receiving this guitar, the neck was warped and had a twist so we decided to upgrade the tuners as well as bolt on a newer Fender Mexico neck with a vintage style amber tint and a "Soft V" profile to get in the ballpark of the original neck.
This is a USED guitar but an extremely rare "one-year only" American-made Fender. The body is in incredible condition with hardly any wear minus just the smallest amount of buckle-rash on the back. The neck we put on is also in great condition with tons of life left in the frets.
