This 2025 PRS S2 Standard 22 Satin in Metallic Midnight is the kind of guitar that ends up doing more work than the fancy stuff. It skips the boutique cosplay and goes straight to the useful part: all-mahogany body, set neck, 58/15 LT pickups, satin nitro, locking tuners, and a trem that actually earns its place here. The result is warm, punchy, clear, and annoyingly versatile—the sort of guitar that can cover a set without needing excuses.
The birds on the fretboard are a nice touch too, because a little vanity never killed a good PRS. It is still a player’s guitar first, just one that knows how to dress itself. Metallic Midnight helps there too: dark, sharp, understated, and FAR cooler than the usual safe-guy finishes.
