The Upper Bout
Orville Les Paul
During the 1970s and '80s, various Japanese guitar companies manufactured instruments that rivaled Gibsons in sound and quality. Dubbed the "lawsuit" guitars, these instruments caused Gibson quite a few problems in the overseas market. To combat this, Gibson founded Orville: a Japanese-made brand of Gibson instruments. Now consumers could buy an affordable, officially licensed Les Paul from Gibson themselves. Featuring classic appointments like a flamed maple top, mahogany body and neck, and two humbucking pickups, this axe is a true Gibson in all but name. The previous owner removed the pickguard to show off even more of the instrument's amazing flamed maple top.
This is a USED instrument in EXCELLENT condition. If you have any questions please feel free to send us a message, visit us in-store or give us a call at (217) 607-8132.
