Co-designed by Paul Gagon and Grover Jackson: the Ascari is a bold looking, modern take on classic G&L design. Featuring Gagon-wound P90 pickups - the GT-90 has soaring cleans to fat and throaty growls.Typical P-90-equipped guitars suffer an imbalance between the neck and bridge pickups, forcing you to struggle with dual volume controls to find a balance. Not with the GT-90. These pickups are an amazingly well-matched set. With a single volume control, a world of harmonically rich P-90 tone is accessible with ease. A gorgeous tobacco sunburst sets off this guitar leaving you with a pleasant sight to look down on and the Slim Modern C neck profile is a breeze to play. The addition of a rosewood fingerboard is also a nice choice. Oh, and did we mention this thing is LIGHT... like stupid light. Our scale reads 6.6lbs but this guitar feels much lighter in hand.
