In collaboration with Gibson Shop, Epiphone is proud to release the mother of all semi-hollow guitars, the 1959 ES-335. Don't let the name of the headstock fool you, it's not your everyday Epiphone semi-hollow. The 1959 ES-355 features a 5-ply layered maple/poplar body with a solid maple centerblock for sustain and feedback resistance, a one-piece mahogany neck with a 50s Rounded Medium C profile, and an ebony fretboard that is adorned with block mother of pearl inlays. And it's powered by hand-wired Gibson Custombucker pickups, with unbalanced coils for a historically accurate sound. Pick up this guitar and you might think twice before buying Gibson. A hardshell case is also included with this model.
