USED Westone Electra 4-String Bass Made in Japan

This bass has two names, one killer tone, and a company that couldn't make up its mind. 1984 was a strange year. St. Louis Music slapped "Electra" and "Westone" both on the headstock — permanently — for about twelve months before "Electra" quietly got shown the door. Two name tags, one bass, zero explanation, and honestly, no apology needed.

Built at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, back when that name meant something to people who actually knew gear — same lineage as the Aria Pro II and Vantage stuff that guys still get weirdly nostalgic about at gear swaps. Bolt-on maple neck, rosewood board, P-style pickup at the neck, J-style at the bridge, passive electronics, a 3-way switch, and a phase switch for anyone who enjoys having one more knob to touch mid-song.

Condition-wise, sure, let's talk about it. This thing looks like it's been dragged through several bar fights and came out the loser every time — checking, wear, scars, the full tour-worn resume. Nobody babied this bass. Somebody used it, which, frankly, is the entire point of a bass.

Plug it in anyway, and it stops being funny real quick — it plays great. Stable neck, tone that punches way harder than something this rough has any business delivering.

It's had an identity crisis for forty years. Give it a home and let it finally just be your bass.

This is a USED instrument in FAIR condition.
