The Upper Bout
USED Taylor 710ce-L9
If you've been on the hunt for an old Taylor, today is your lucky day! This 2004 710ce was part of a limited run where the scale length was 5/8" shorter than Taylor guitars at the time. This old bird is outfitted with an Englemann Spruce top and Solid Rosewood back and sides. This produces a boomy dreadnought sound that would make even the most stedfast Martin bluegrass players turn their head. It produces resonant lows and punchy mids and treble, making it capable of punching through any mix or band if you push it.
The original electronics were swapped for L.R. Baggs' anthem pickup. It was recently set up in our shop and is one of the better playing and sweeter sounding old Taylor guitars we have ever seen.
This is a USED guitar in GOOD condition. This guitar has been well loved, but well taken care of. It has no wood or finish cracks anywhere on the guitar, but there are some shallow scrapes on the top that do not penetrate the finish, a few marks on the headstock where it was bumped as well. Our luthiers at the shop have given it the full run-down and assure us that all the blemishes are cosmetic, nothing that affects tone or the playability.
If you have any questions about this guitar, feel free to stop by or give us a call.
