Taylor has re-imagined the 700 Series guitars for a bold new refresh of the Legacy 714ce model. Now with a Western red cedar top and East Indian rosewood body, the Next Generation 714ce offers clarity and low-end from the rosewood, and a warm midrange from the cedar top. Other new features include Taylor's new action control neck, scalloped V-Class bracing and the all-new Claria pickup system electronics for rich and adaptable tones for any live setting--Taylor's bread and butter. This guitar looks crisp; the multi-ply white binding is striking next to the cedar top, and the green abalone inlays are simply beautiful.
At the end of the day--it's a Taylor. They're simple to set up, and it plays like an electric guitar if you want it to. The classic sounding Claria pickup will be the new best friend of every sound guy. Plug in a Taylor guitar and you'll see why it's preferred by live players. It looks as good on a wall hanger as it does on stage, and that will never change.
