As the name of the series says, Ovation's Elite series is dedicated to the production of some of the finest Ovation guitars. This used example uses top notch materials and craftsmanship. The 2078AX has a dreadnought cutaway body made of spruce top and composite back and sides lending it that classic Ovation sound profile - improving projection and reflecting top vibrations. Multiple sound holes and white binding are also featured for an expansive, unique tone in comparison to traditional single-soundhole guitars. The bridge is made of ebony and has a synthetic bone nut. Electronics consist of Ovation OCP-1K pickup and OP Pro preamp with on-board controls. The neck is made of maple with a V contour and set-in joint. It's got a thinner feel to it and feels nice and smooth with a fast playability up and down the neck. The dark, ebony fingerboard has 22 medium frets, with white dot inlays and a 1.6875" wide synthetic bone nut. It also includes Ovation's OP-PRO Studio electronics. It offers a 3-band EQ, exciter and compressor/limiter circuitry, and a chromatic tuner.
