Epiphone is BACK IN THE USA! Introduced in 1958, the Texan has been the muse for many songwriters over the years. From McCartney, to Frampton, to Gallagher - the Texan has seen it all. Proudly handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana in the same factory that the Gibson Acoustics are made. The collectability of the old Texans are only rising so Gibson and Epiphone thought what better time than to reissue this icon.
A classic pairing of a Solid Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany Back and Sides gives you clarity and projection in the top and balanced perfectly with the warmth and natural compression of mahogany. The long scale fingerboard gives it a little more pop, drive and clarity. And the 12" Radius, Round D shape neck profile and Indian Rosewood fingerboard make for an extremely smooth and comfortable playing experience. It features all the same appointments as Montana made Gibsons including a hot hide-glue dovetail neck joint, gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a domed top with scalloped bracing - all the cool things that make these guitars as awesome as they were in 1958. Comes with an LR Baggs VTC pickup system keeping you ready for the stage and studio. The Texan ships with an upgraded Epiphone hardshell case with a blue plush interior, Gibson owner's manual, case candy, and D'addario Humidification system.
