What you're looking at is a great example of a Martin HD-28 Standard Dreadnought Acoustic. With a Sitka spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, and mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard you have classic tonewoods and classic sound at your fingertips. A spruce top gives you volume and clarity, paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides you get deep, warm lows and sparkly highs and sounds heavenly articulate. Vintage appointments include herringbone top trim, a traditional zigzag backstrip, and Martin's famous scalloped X-bracing that allows the top to vibrate more freely, yielding a louder, more open tone. This HD-28 has all of the deep bass response that Martin is famous for. Chords are rich and full with no unpleasant or harsh highs. This guitar is for any player looking for a well-played, well-kept, and well-loved and iconic Martin Dreadnought.
This instrument is in USED and VERY GOOD Condition with a few things to note. There are light dings and surface scratches throughout the guitar as well as some noticeable finish checking on the lower bout of the front of the guitar as well as some peeling on the lower bout of the back of the guitars finish. There is also some peeling of the binding near where the players forearm rests. It appears that frets 1-7 have been re-fretted, crowned and polished at some point in the guitar's life.
